The news is that Brain Kat Records will bring out a new tune of mine called The Street Pickup. Coming soon, maybe May?w Also, Dustpan Recordings is looking to bust out a compilation of some sort soon so that's something to look out for. Finally, housey amigos Andy Wallace and Ricardo Rae are working on a fresh label called Serial Thriller. Famous house head Luke J Sammut once sent me a link in which you type in your name and it comes up with a Brazillian football team variation of it. Mine was Julson. So I added a couple new tracks I wrote under the Julson alter ego. Check 'em out on the tunes page. 27-01-2009 ::: BKR001R OLLIE BROOKE - FIREFLIES (REMIXES) Yo folks, just got word from the Brain Kat label that Fireflies will be dropping in stores on Feb 2nd for the first release with sweet cuts from Vincent Kwok, and the remixes on the Feb 23rd featuring myself, DJ Freestyle and more. Exciting stuff! All the tunes got mastered properly and now sound awesome. Can't wait! Also, I'll add a new tune next week if I get a chance. 04-01-2009 ::: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Happy new year folks! Looks like the weekly update isn't working out, sorry about this. This year has started off great, there are a couple of things coming up - first off on 22/01 come to Miss Libertine for a chilled out BBQ with deep sounds of everything, then on 24/01 at Miss Lib's again for Planet 3030 space party. Also, big ups to Slater Hogan & John Larner who played a cracker of a set each last night @ F4. 12-12-2008 ::: REMIX ON FRESH AUSSIE LABEL W/ OLLIE BROOKE! I just got the news that my new remix of Ollie's 'Fireflies' (with tasty vocals by Nica Brooke) will be coming out in January, alongside house legends DJ Freestyle, Vincent Kwok and others. It will be the very first release of Brain Kat Records, a sweet new label based in Perth, Australia. What a lovely way to start the year! More details after Xmas sometime.
